Director Finance

Overview The Chicago Athletic Association, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. Salary: $126,000 - $157,500 annually. Responsibilities Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review, and analyze variance explanations and implement corrective actions. Lead and manage all accounting functions including budgeting, month‑end close, cash management. Develop and implement the annual business plan aligned with business objectives. Oversee year‑end processes and external audit visits. Ensure adherence to HMA terms, internal controls, and SOX compliance. Monitor industry trends and legislative changes. Mentor and coach the finance team and related operational staff. Collaborate with hotel leadership for strategic initiatives, cost efficiencies, revenue growth. Oversee third‑party F&B provider compliance and financial consolidation. Build and maintain relationships with ownership and stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of progressive finance experience; hospitality, retail or related industry preferred. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
