Job Title: LPN/LVN – Long-Term Care (Travel)

Location: Vestal, NY
Duration: 16 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night Shift
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
Start Date: Start dates available every 2 weeks based on orientation schedules

Compensation

Pay: $32–$34/hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,200–$1,274/week, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide nursing care in a long-term care setting. The facility primarily serves an Alzheimer’s and dementia patient population .

First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Local candidates are also accepted.

Job Details

• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Evening/Night shifts available
• Night shift cannot be changed once offered
• Night shift is generally slower paced
• 12-hour shifts may be available with prior staffing approval
• Nurse-to-resident ratio: approximately 1:18–20
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend , based on facility needs
• No routine floating between like units
• Block scheduling: Not currently available

Requirements

• Active New York State LPN license
• No license hits allowed
• Proof of active NY LPN license must be provided at the time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience preferred/required
• Candidates with recent experience in rehabilitation, Med-Surg, hospital, or other comparable specialties may be considered
• Current BLS-AHA certification
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Must successfully complete a medication administration (med pass) test
• Must successfully complete a clinical observation

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform accurate and safe medication passes
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition
• Provide nursing care according to facility policies and procedures
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Supervise and provide direction to CNAs on assigned units
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for residents
• Provide compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
