Document all information in patient charts. Assist providers in exam rooms; give patient instructions as directed by providers. Perform clinical procedures such as blood draw, EKG, and other procedures. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required. Provide feedback and answer patient/provider/pharmacy calls. Maintain all logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen). Perform any other duties assigned by the Office Manager or Practice Administrator. Requirements High school diploma; some college preferred. Medical assistant certification. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. Knowledge of medical terminology. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette. The Medical Assistant will interview patients, record vital signs, and document information in patient charts.
