Partner with teammates and supervisors through clear, timely communication. What You'll Tackle Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems on municipal equipment (refuse trucks, sweepers, sewer units). Execute scheduled maintenance and preventive service to minimize breakdowns. Evaluate complex failures and recommend repair strategies and parts. Weld and fabricate parts/attachments as required for reliable repairs. Accurately document findings, labor, and parts on work orders. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace. Assist with other shop responsibilities when needed. What You'll Need 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing heavy or municipal equipment. Practical knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies. Competence in basic to intermediate welding and fabrication. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Detail orientation with a strong commitment to safety. Ability to manage priorities independently and meet deadlines. Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
