Job ID: SRJ_8933Posted: 2026-07-31Location: Raritan, NJSalary: USD 68-70 / Hourly (C2C) | USD 55-60 / Hourly (W-2)Employment Type: C2C, W-2Client: SyrenContact: Meghana GorusuCompany: SRI Tech SolutionsJob Title: Data ArchitectLocation: Raritan, NJ (Onsite)Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and drive enterprise-scale data architecture solutions on Azure for a leading MedTech/Healthcare organization.The ideal candidate will own conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, build modern Lakehouse (medallion) architectures on Databricks, and partner closely with business and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, governed data platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze current business practices, processes, and procedures, and identify opportunities to leverage Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics services.Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements/use cases and translate them into detailed technical specifications.Design and build enterprise data architecture including Delta Lake / medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) and data modernization initiatives.Own conceptual, logical, and physical data model design using dimensional modeling, data vault modeling, and de-normalized modeling approaches.Design and build scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL.Work with Databricks Unity Catalog, Workflows, Jobs, data lineage automation, Asset Bundles, and Delta Lake ACID/time-travel capabilities.Load transformed data into data warehouse and analytics destinations using Azure services, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and PySpark.Define and implement metadata-driven pipelines for data ingestion, orchestration, and refresh.Drive data governance, compliance, and security practices across the platform.Perform performance tuning of pipelines and queries for large-scale datasets.Required Skills & Experience7+ years of total professional experience in data engineering / data architecture roles.Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Data & Analytics services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage/Blob, Azure Data Lake.Proven experience designing Delta Lake / medallion (bronze-silver-gold) architectures and modern Lakehouse patterns.Strong data modeling experience: dimensional modeling, data vault modeling, star/snowflake schema design.Solid programming skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and PL/SQL.Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, Workflows, Jobs, and CI/CD for data pipelines (Azure DevOps).Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance/security practices.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to translate business requirements intotechnical design.Preferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExposure to AI/ML and GenAI concepts (Azure OpenAI, LLM-based pipelines, vector databases) is a plus.Experience with additional platforms: Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Postgres, MongoDB, or Cassandra.Experience with data visualization / BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools such as Alation or Manta.Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Insurance domains.Certifications:Azure Data Engineer (DP-203), Azure Data Fundamentals (AZ-900), TOGAF, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)SRI Tech Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship status or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
