Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Ability to facilitate clear, effective communication for high school-aged students
• Will consider candidates with a PROVISIONAL license if EIPA score is below 4.0
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment
• Reliable and punctual, able to work scheduled hours: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to work with educators and staff on campus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and dialogue between students, teachers, and school staff
• Provide one-on-one and group interpreting as needed to ensure equal access to learning
• Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines for educational interpreting
• Support students’ understanding and participation during lessons, activities, and events
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school and district requirements
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere where Deaf and hard of hearing students can thrive
