Accounts Payable Manager

Overview A leading real estate company in Dallas is seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable Manager to lead and optimize its accounts payable team. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with deep experience in real estate accounting systems and a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities Lead the full accounts payable lifecycle for multiple real estate entities, including fund overhead and internal property management operations. Manage invoice workflows using AvidXchange, ensuring accurate coding, routing, and approval processes. Monitor and refine vendor onboarding procedures, including tax documentation and compliance with 1099/1096 reporting. Leverage MRI and AvidXchange to streamline vendor setup and automate recurring tasks. Generate and analyze AP reports to identify bottlenecks, resolve delays, and improve payment timelines. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and internal teams to enhance financial controls and reporting accuracy. Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 10+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for real estate industry exposure. Proficiency in AvidXchange and MRI software is required. Advanced Excel skills and a data-driven mindset. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
