Associate - Business Group

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Business Group in Columbus, OH. The candidate will work on a national platform, supporting partners across the country and handling a broad range of corporate matters, including public and private M&A, private equity transactions, joint ventures, growth equity financings, and general corporate and commercial work for in-house legal departments and operating teams of both public and private companies. Duties Work on M&A deals, including preparing ancillary documents and performing due diligence. Manage client relationships and handle day-to-day requirements with minimal supervision. Engage in general corporate transactions and capital markets transactions. Draft and negotiate joint ventures and commercial contracts. Requirements Experience in M&A deals and general corporate transactions. Ability to manage deals from start to finish independently. Strong drafting, negotiating, and verbal communication skills. Experience in AmLaw 100-200 law firms preferred. Education J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school. Certifications Admitted to practice law in Ohio. Skills Ability to manage sophisticated transactions and anticipate issues. Comfort working with partners and clients across multiple markets.
