About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Investment Accounting to lead the accounting and reporting for a global investment portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. Statutory, and international accounting standards, as well as driving process improvements and managing enhancements in investment accounting systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to onboard new private alternative investments, providing analytical commentary on financial statement movements, and overseeing credit allowance analysis. The VP will also be involved in senior management committee presentations, reviewing technical accounting matters, and managing the completion of investment sections for annual surveys and year-end reviews of SOC reports. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance, with a Master’s degree or CPA preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance accounting, policy, or financial reporting. Proficiency in ASC Topics 320-326 and international GAAP standards is required, along with strong communication skills, experience with financial reporting systems and technology, and effective project management abilities. The role also demands a leader who can manage and develop a team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, and who is adept at staying informed on industry trends to integrate relevant insights into operations.
