ACCOUNTING CLERK

Overview Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is a 65-bed residential treatment facility that provides treatment to adolescent boys and girls, ages 11–17. Treatment includes behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric interventions as well as education. The Accounting Clerk provides essential support to the accounting department by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with routine accounting tasks. This role ensures accuracy and efficiency in financial documentation and helps the accounting team manage accounts payable, receivable, and assist with payroll processing and reports. Responsibilities Maintain financial records. Process transactions. Assist with routine accounting tasks. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial documentation. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Assist with payroll processing and reports. Qualifications Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounts payable/payroll. Working knowledge of personal computers, payroll/accounts payable systems, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to handle diverse and stress‑related situations calmly; detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Effective oral and written communication and guest relation skills required. Good organizational and computer technical skills and ability to set priorities. Physical requirements: visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting and ability to lift twenty (20) pounds.
