Job Title

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled equipment technician for industrial construction sites.

Job Description

The primary job responsibilities include assembling, setting up, adjusting, lubricating, maintaining, and repairing all types of construction equipment. The technician must practice safety rules, follow verbal and written instructions, and ensure the safe use of hand and power tools. They will report to and assist the immediate supervisor, perform quality work as determined by project specifications, and be accountable for all tools and materials at the end of their shift. The technician must work well as part of a team, repair equipment such as internal combustion engines, air compressors, and pumps, fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or other schematic drawings, and perform the duties of a welder in the repair of equipment.

Physical Requirements

The technician must comply with client safety requirements, pass a physical exam if required, and be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways. They must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces. The technician must lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (use assistance for heavier loads) and stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces. They must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.

Industrial construction sites.

Uneven ground, obstructed pathways, work at low/high elevations, confined workspaces.

Environmental Conditions

Predominantly outdoor work, exposure to extreme heat or cold, humidity, rain, and other weather conditions, loud noise from tools and machinery, potential chemical exposure.
