Job Description
Responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures made from wood and other building materials. This role requires strong technical skill, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a construction team. You will play a key role in residential, commercial, and renovation projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to plan project layouts.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials including wood, drywall, and composites.
• Install framing for walls, floors, roofs, and structural components.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and flooring.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect work for accuracy and compliance with building codes.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site at all times.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of carpentry experience (apprenticeship or equivalent accepted).
• Proficiency with saws, drills, levels, nail guns, and measuring tools.
• Strong understanding of construction math.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at heights.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with finish carpentry and custom woodwork.
• Familiarity with digital measuring tools.
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification.

Work Environment
Work on residential and commercial construction sites within a 2-hour radius of Hagerstown, MD. Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass drug and background checks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Funkstown, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
