Essential Job Functions Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs; report changes to supervisor or physician. Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care timely. Participate in, implement, and update nursing care plans. Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes. Recognize changes in patient needs and implement care to prevent or reduce risk. Maintain accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act. Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect staff and patients according to OSHA standards. Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies. Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies by participating in educational programs and continuing education units. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, unrestricted state license as an LPN/LVN. Current CPR certification. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures. Must have reliable transportation. Additional State–Specific Requirements South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience. California – One (1) year of experience working under current nursing license. Louisiana – One (1) year of experience working as a licensed nurse. Continuing education as required by state. Preferences Six (6) months of recent experience as a licensed nurse in a clinical care setting. Home health experience. Other Skills/Abilities Attention to detail. Time management. Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution. Good organization and communication skills. Physical Requirements Speak, write, read, and understand English. Travel to patient locations. Lift up to 50 pounds. Reposition patients and move equipment without assistance. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting. Sit and climb stairs. Maintain visual and hearing acuity. Strong sense of smell and touch. Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport. Environment Work in varied environments with potential exposure to allergens. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
