Laminator/ UV Screen Coater expert operator

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laminator / UV Screen Coater expert operator role located in Walnut, CA. The operator will set up, run, and monitor laminating and UV screen coating equipment to ensure consistent quality, proper adhesion, and accurate registration for printed substrates and packaging components. Daily responsibilities include preparing materials, performing machine adjustments, conducting quality checks, and maintaining detailed production records. The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine cleaning and preventative maintenance, and coordinating with press operators, finishing teams, and supervisors to meet production schedules. The operator will follow safety protocols, handle materials efficiently, and support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor. Qualifications Hands-on expertise in operating laminating and UV screen coating equipment, including setup, calibration, and changeovers for various materials. Strong knowledge of printing and packaging processes, including film, paperboard, and specialty finishes such as hot foil, cold foil, and raised foil. Ability to perform quality control checks, monitor color and coating consistency, and interpret production specifications and job tickets. Experience with basic mechanical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and safe use of tools and production machinery. Understanding of workplace safety standards, proper handling of chemicals and coatings, and compliance with company safety procedures. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with production, prepress, and finishing teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple jobs to meet deadlines. Previous experience in commercial printing or packaging manufacturing, particularly in laminating or UV coating operations, highly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in printing, packaging, or industrial operations is a plus.
