Job Description:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with students' individual academic and behavioral needs.
• Select instructional materials, teaching strategies, and interventions appropriate for middle school learners.
• Implement educational goals and objectives across required subject areas.
• Differentiate instruction based on students' learning styles, abilities, and IEP goals.
• Evaluate students' current academic and behavioral functioning and make appropriate program adjustments based on progress.
• Prepare quarterly report cards, mid-quarter reports, and IEP progress narratives.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians, PHILLIPS staff, and outside professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide coordinated academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
• Implement individual and group behavior-management programs.
• Create a structured classroom environment that promotes engagement, independence, positive relationships, and student success.
• Organize classroom materials, furniture, and equipment to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
• Actively supervise students throughout the school day, including assigned bus, transition, playground, and other supervisory duties.
• Maintain the classroom budget and accurately report expenditures to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.
