Physical Therapist-Per Diem

Position Details Physical Therapist – Per Diem (Mercy Hospital, Washington, MO). Schedule: Per Diem – minimum of one Saturday/month, one holiday per year, and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP. Overview Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties consistently with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care of adult and geriatric patients. Physical Requirements Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
