About the Role

\n

\n

We are looking for experienced Workers’ Compensation professionals to help build Corgi's Workers’ Compensation business.

\n

\n

You will be responsible for evaluating risks, developing underwriting standards, establishing pricing and risk-selection frameworks, and helping build a scalable Workers’ Compensation operation.

\n

\n

This role is ideal for someone who has spent years developing real underwriting judgment and wants significantly more ownership than a traditional carrier role typically provides.

What You’ll Work On

\n

\n

\n
• Underwrite Workers’ Compensation accounts across Corgi's target markets.
\n
• Develop and refine underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
\n
• Evaluate loss history, payroll, classifications, experience modification, exposure, and other risk characteristics.
\n
• Establish appropriate pricing, terms, limits, and deductibles.
\n
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging loss trends.
\n
• Work with actuarial teams on pricing and loss-cost analysis.
\n
• Partner with brokers and distribution teams on account development.
\n
• Help establish underwriting processes and technology-enabled workflows.
\n
• Contribute to product design and portfolio strategy.
\n
• Help build the broader Workers’ Compensation underwriting team.

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• 8+ years of Workers’ Compensation experience.
\n
• Strong commercial underwriting background.
\n
• Deep understanding of Workers’ Compensation risk and pricing.
\n
• Experience evaluating complex accounts.
\n
• Strong analytical and commercial judgment.
\n
• Ability to work effectively with brokers and distribution partners.
\n
• Experience at a major carrier, regional carrier, or sophisticated InsurTech.
