Senior Full Stack Software Developer (Java) McLean, VA (Onsite)We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer (Java) to join the Financial Engineering Team supporting a sophisticated, user-facing application that interfaces with enterprise risk models and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, automated testing, and CI/CD with a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions in a fast-paced financial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using the Spring Boot ecosystem.Build and implement automated testing solutions using JUnit and other testing frameworks.Improve application quality by increasing test coverage using JaCoCo and generating code coverage reports.Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.Participate in code reviews, testing strategy discussions, and technical documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver stable, scalable, and high-performing applications.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Required Qualifications5+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Java.5+ years of hands-on experience with JUnit or other automated testing frameworks.Strong experience with Spring Boot, including REST APIs, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.2–3 years of experience with Jenkins and JaCoCo.2–3 years of experience using Git in collaborative development environments (branching, pull requests, code reviews).Experience with development tools such as IntelliJ IDEA.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced Agile environment.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.Experience with relational databases and advanced SQL.Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven architectures.Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Prior experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.Knowledge of fixed income concepts, including duration, convexity, spread, and option-adjusted spread (OAS).Required SkillsJavaSpring BootREST APIsSpring SecuritySpring Data JPAJUnitJaCoCoJenkinsGitIntelliJ IDEASQLCI/CDAgile/ScrumJIRAAWS/Azure/GCP (Preferred)Kafka/RabbitMQ (Preferred)Additional InformationWork Authorization: Open to eligible candidates.Work Schedule: Standard Business Hours.Interview Process: 1 Round (60 Minutes, In-Person)Interview Timeline: Targeting the week of August 3rdShortlisting Deadline: July 31stWork Location: Onsite – McLean, VA
