Physician, General ENT | Sleep Surgery (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Responsibilities The physician provides licensed medical care, including diagnosis, specialized surgical expertise in treating severe sleep disorders, treatment (including surgery or pre/post‑surgical care where appropriate), case management, and clinical research. The physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations and is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols) and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center. Qualifications Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board certified or board eligible in required specialization Successful completion of a Sleep Surgery Program State of Ohio and DEA licensure required Faculty Designations Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) such as assistant professor‑clinical, associate professor‑clinical and professor‑clinical. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care and may include teaching and/or research. Tenure‑Track faculty (regardless of rank) hold titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor, eligible for tenure or holding tenure. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure‑track faculty with MD, DO, or MD/PhD may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty (regardless of rank) hold titles such as research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. They are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
