Position: Patient Access Specialist / Care Coordinator

Schedule: Onsite | Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Pay Rate- $ 20.78/hr. On W2 without benefits

Primary Location: Mount Pleasant, SC

Satellite Locations: Travel required once monthly to Goose Creek, Summerville (Nexton - 406 Brighton Park Blvd, Suite 101), and Beaufort (11 D Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906).

Dress Code: Scrubs or Business Professional

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining fast and precise patient registration, scheduling, and billing workflows within an EMR system. Core duties include capturing accurate patient demographics and insurance details, collecting patient payments, and scheduling appointments across multiple clinic sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently across main and satellite practice locations.

• Collect and verify detailed patient demographics, insurance coverage, and billing information.

• Manage upfront patient collections and accurately record service charges.

• Utilize EPIC and document management software to maintain up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR).

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered customer service both in person and over the phone.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of healthcare front-office or patient access experience.

• Systems: Proficiency with EPIC EMR required; experience with OnBase software strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong computer literacy, high attention to detail, and proven customer service capabilities.
