Director, ERP Center of Expertise (CoE)

Primary Purpose Sets technology strategy for the department, aligning vision and priorities with organizational goals, influencing investment decisions, and championing innovation across the enterprise. With the successful SAP RISE deployment and the establishment of the ERP Center of Expertise (CoE), Sempra Infrastructure is creating a pivotal leadership role to shape the ongoing evolution and strategic direction of its enterprise ERP ecosystem. The Director, ERP CoE is accountable for the overall stability, scalability, and value realization of the SAP platform, ensuring the organization maximizes its ERP investment. The ERP CoE serves as a trusted business partner and innovation leader, delivering high quality and reliable ERP solutions that enable enterprise agility and measurable business outcomes. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with business leaders, aligning ERP capabilities to strategic objectives, and leading a team of SAP professionals across functional enablement and the supporting technology landscape to drive continuous improvement and long‑term success. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Technology, Cybersecurity and Chief Information Officer. Duties and Responsibilities Setsand enforces technology standards, ensuring they are clearly defined, maintained, and implemented across the organization. Providesexpert input and facilitates the adoption of technology standards and innovations, supporting successful implementation. Translateshigh-level strategies into actionable technology strategic plans, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and organizational goals. Collaborateswith executive leadership and key business stakeholders to define and communicate the technology strategy, vision, and roadmap. Definesthe terms of reference for technology delivery, securing necessary approvals from governance bodies and ensuring stakeholder buy‑in. Monitorsindustry trends and technological advancements, assessing their potential impact on the organization and making informed recommendations. Ensuresthat technology initiatives are fit‑for‑purpose and adaptable, reflecting the evolving needs of a broad range of stakeholders within the organization. Championsa culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology function, encouraging the adoption of best practices and cutting‑edge solutions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Requires a 4 year degree. Experience Typically requires 12 years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities IT Strategy - Determining the objectives, principles and tactics relating to use of information technology within a particular organization. Business Analysis - Analyzing current business state within the context of future business state expectations and determining whether new business strategies are needed to address existing issues or meet new needs. Estimating the level of effort to enhance or expand current business strategies. Strategic Roadmapping - The process of determining the actions, steps, and resources needed to take a strategic initiative from vision to reality. Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders. Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses. Digital Transformation - Digital Transformation is the adoption of digital technology to transform services or businesses, through replacing non-digital or manual processes with digital processes or replacing older digital technology with newer digital technology. Innovation Management - A combination of the management of innovation processes, and change management. Enterprise Risk Management - The process of identifying and addressing methodically the potential events that represent risks to the achievement of strategic objectives, or to opportunities to gain competitive advantage. Technology Governance - Managing technology risks effectively and ensuring that the activities associated with technology are aligned with the organization's overall business objectives. Agile Methodologies - A project management approach utilized in software development, which is characterized by the division of tasks into short phases of work (known as sprints) and frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans. Work Schedule HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 3 days per week onsite.
