As an Operating Participant at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, we strive to create a culinary oasis where guests can immerse themselves in a world of flavors, artistry, and Disney's legendary hospitality. As the Service Ambassador Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards. You will oversee and lead a team of cast members providing immediate, courteous and friendly interactions to every guest entering the outlet(s), using the SPOTLIGHT model as a foundation of our Excellence in Service philosophy. Essential Primary Functions Greets and welcomes guests within company standards. Ensures a quality guest experience according to Springs Foods Services Service Excellence and SPOTLIGHT standards. Controls the flow of the dining room by continuously monitoring guest transactions and seating availability. Mentors and leads a group of cast members to ensure the highest level of dining room cleanliness, product integrity, and guest engagement. Supervises and directs reporting cast members according to current checklists protocol and management directions. Fosters open communication channels between service staff, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly. Is knowledgeable of company policy regarding alcohol service. Is knowledgeable of events and happenings that are occurring within and outside the hotel. Acts as an ambassador aiding guests in locating other areas of the hotel or property (walk them to destination if possible). Attends all designated staff meetings and training sessions. Follows all company policies and procedures; ensures clean uniform and professional appearance; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects company assets. Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; completes safety training and certifications. Performs all side work duties before, during, and after shift. Trains new cast members on company policies, procedures, and service standards. Completes all other duties assigned by leadership. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of previous food and beverage experience, preferably in a similar environment. Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory level in a restaurant or food service with high volume preferred. Ability to multitask and work in a very fast paced environment in a professional demeanor. Excellent hospitality skills. Self‑directed; can complete tasks with minimal supervision. Willing to follow instructions and take direction. Flexible and adaptable to different work demands. Must complete and pass the company’s Food Handler’s and Responsible Vendor certifications. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak in front of large groups. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well. Must consistently lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Maintains physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Effectively deals with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations. Customer service oriented with the ability to adapt to special requests and constantly changing circumstances, often under pressure. Possesses excellent telephone etiquette. Adheres to all Palmas Restaurant Group and Disney policies and service standards as a minimum.
