Position Overview Located in the Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Evaluation Program (CDEEP) within the Center for Health and Environmental Data (CHED). The role provides evaluation services to CDPHE public health and environmental programs. This position is term‑limited and funding cannot be guaranteed beyond June 30, 2027. The incumbent must be willing to resign on that date or when funds cease. We encourage diverse applicants. Benefits Free parking and RTD bus access Flexible work arrangements Medical, dental and retirement plans 401(k) and 457 plans Paid life insurance and disability coverage 11 paid holidays and personal time off Tuition assistance and wellness programs Professional development opportunities Career advancement throughout the state Key Responsibilities Develop data collection tools and manage data Analyze data and interpret results Prepare written reports and oral presentations Design program evaluation studies Provide technical assistance on evaluation concepts and performance measurement Lead continuous quality improvement activities Minimum Qualifications Six (6) years professional experience in statistical analysis and/or evaluation, or Bachelor’s degree in program evaluation, public health, sociology, anthropology, psychology, epidemiology or related field AND two (2) years of applied research or evaluation experience, or Master’s degree in the same domains AND one (1) year of applied research or evaluation experience. Preferred Qualifications and Competencies Experience leading evaluations of public health prevention programs, especially in cancer or chronic disease Group facilitation skills for consensus building Knowledge of evaluation frameworks (utilization‑focused, developmental, equitable, Stepwise, REACT, etc.) Ability to determine appropriate research/evaluation design and document methods in written plans Detail orientation and problem‑solving for data accuracy Survey building and management with online platforms Experience with REDCap design and administration Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics; proficiency in SPSS, SAS or R Knowledge of qualitative research methods and analysis Proficiency in MS Office or Google Business Suite Data management, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation experience Reporting skills for written and oral communication of findings with recommendations Ability to display data visually for diverse audiences Critical thinking and creative problem solving Initiative, self‑management, and ability to work independently Understanding of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) impacting health equity Conditions of Employment Pre‑employment background check required.
