Payroll Manager

We’re Hiring: Payroll Manager We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Managerto take ownership of payroll and benefits accounting for a fast-growing, multi-state QSR organization. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex payroll challenges, improving processes, and building scalable systems in a growing organization. What we’re looking for: 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including full-cycle, multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment Experience managing payroll for a workforce of approximately 1,600+ employees Strong working knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, deductions, garnishments, reconciliations, and year-end processing Hands-on experience with Paylocity strongly preferred A strong understanding of timekeeping and the ability to identify and resolve timekeeping or payroll discrepancies before they impact payroll Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, on-time payroll under firm deadlines Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and resolve complex payroll issues independently Ability to recognize when an established process is working, follow it consistently, and recommend improvements when there is a clear business or compliance need Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with HR Operations, Finance, managers, and third-party providers Experience supporting payroll audits, year-end activities, W-2 processing, and payroll-related reporting Comfortable taking ownership of the payroll function and being the go-to subject matter expert for payroll questions and issues Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information Florence, SC — primarily onsite; remote may be considered for highly qualified candidates who demonstrate strong autonomy, prioritization, and accountability.
