Job Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team with the evaluation and management of commercial accounts and providing quality service to our clients. The role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This position provides opportunities for growth and the ability to influence the direction of the company through process improvements, efficiencies, and strategic initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by advising and responding to all correspondence promptly and accurately. This includes answering questions regarding all lines of coverage and assisting with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing. Service commercial lines accounts as assigned in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service standards. Collaborate with Risk Advisors and the Commercial Processing team to determine and meet client goals. Support Risk Advisors by exercising independent judgment and discretion to: Analyze markets for competitive pricing and develop insurance solutions for current clients Review carrier quotes, identify gaps in coverage, prepare proposals, and maintain client applications Educate clients on policies as needed Receive and process new business, renewals, and cancellations Ensure maximum client retention and generation through relationship building. Manage large volumes of account support items regularly. Schedule, attend, and participate in commercial lines meetings, trainings, and classes. Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers. Promote value-added services available through North Risk Partners (e.g., professional counseling, webinars/seminars, communications, tools, and more). Return phone calls, messages, and emails on the same business day when possible. Enter activity and other relevant information accurately into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with procedures. Follow all federal and state regulations and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions. Continue professional development; obtain and maintain licensing and designations. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices. Qualifications A combination of education and experience generally attaining through a high school degree, bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 3 years in commercial insurance service. Active property & casualty insurance license, or willingness to obtain one. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite. Physical Requirements Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently. Hear, speak, and communicate effectively in English, following oral and written instructions. Sit for extended periods and work at a computer. Move around the office/building/facilities throughout the day. Demonstrate manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer use and review of detailed information. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and region for client meetings. Flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed. Tools and Equipment Used Incumbents must be able to use telephones, calculators, copy machines, computers, printers, and other office equipment. Work Environment The work environment is primarily indoors. Travel for work-related events may occur. This description acknowledges that the employee is at-will and may be revised by management. Compensation and Benefits The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually, plus benefits. The salary of the finalist selected will be based on factors including qualifications, experience, licenses, and training.
