Northgate Health & Rehabilitation is looking for a dependable and motivated Cook to join our dietary team. If you enjoy preparing quality meals and making a positive impact on the lives of others, we'd love to hear from you. Our dietary team plays an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience while supporting the health and well-being of our residents.
What You'll Do
Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
Ensure meals are served on time and meet quality standards.
Follow therapeutic and modified diet requirements as directed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
Properly store food and monitor temperatures for food safety compliance.
Assist with food preparation, inventory, and kitchen cleaning duties.
Work collaboratively with the dietary team to provide excellent service to residents.
Qualifications
Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long term care, restaurant, or institutional food service preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Dependable, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
