Under minimal supervision, the incumbent will perform the required duties of a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) II at a high level of proficiency, demonstrating exemplary work behaviors and ownership for the success of the work area. The Technician II is tasked with basic handling and preparation of medications for distribution, as well as medication coordination, compounding, and packaging.Compensation$25.50 - $31.00 per hourThis range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market-competitive compensation.Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.Required Qualifications:Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of PharmacyCurrent certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Current certification by National Healthcareer Association's (NHA's) ExCPT examinationOne (1) year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar settingBy virtue of societal trust and security explicitly imparted to pharmacies for the control of drugs, candidate/incumbent must have a clean criminal record (i.e. no felony conviction; no drug or pharmacy related convictions, including misdemeanors; no denial, suspension, revocation, or restriction of registration or licensure by any State Board of Pharmacy)Preferred Qualifications:One (1) year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar settingQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status
