CT TECHNOLOGIST - PRN

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsibilities Ensure patient safety and perform high quality CT studies. Pre‑screen patients for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections. Use aseptic injection techniques. Produce high‑quality diagnostic images. Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists. Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators. Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.). Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT, or certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry. State license; licensed in Medical Imaging if applicable. CPR certification. Active State Driver’s License for mobile unit duties. Strong customer‑service skills, organization, multitasking abilities, and basic computer knowledge. Physical Requirements More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
