Join our growing Distribution team today.Position Purpose: Responsible for providing leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the building and grounds are operating efficiently. Maintains departmental records, logs, and files, answers and directs telephone calls and questions. Maintains professional relations with vendors, suppliers, outside contractors and government officials. Ensures that the facility is maintained at a high level, snow removal is performed in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. Completes miscellaneous projects as assignedEssential Functions and Basic Duties:· Responsible for the development and implementation of project planning and procedures for the facility. · Assists Senior Management in developing short and long term goals and strategies. Provides suggestions and recommendations. · Responsible for effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with external clients, customers, contractors, and officials. · Maintains budgets and future estimates for individual projects. Ensures compliance to budgets. · Responsible for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of facility maintenance functions. · Initiates and negotiates bids with contractors. · Monitors and supervises production quality. Oversees inspection and testing of projects and identifies problems and resolves them quickly and effectively. · Regulates work flow to ensure maximum efficiency. Monitors utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel. · Monitors all engineering operations for compliance with established safety policies and regulations. · Trains, advises, and counsels employees and provides suggestions to improve performance and productivity · Assists in OSHA reviews as requestedJob Requirements:· Experience with automation, mechanized or robotic equipment in warehouse or manufacturing environment (conveyors, lifts, robotics, AS/RS, shuttles, carton equipment · Familiarity with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) software including parts management (ordering, issuance, inventory) · Experience managing technical workforce · Familiarity with safety programs including LOTO (lock out tag out), confined spaces, hazardous chemicals, CEMA (conveyor equipment manufacturers association) recommendations, and OSHA guidance on robotics safety · Experience using SCADA and monitoring software tools · Knowledge of PLC, VFD, ASI, WCS, ICS and other industrial control components · Experience using data and metrics to drive equipment performance, uptime and stability · Good judgement is required for this position as there are times when immediate supervision might not be available.Physical Requirements:· Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. · Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment · Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusUNFI is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
