Transportation Operations Technician II

Overview The Agency of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician II. This position is responsible for highway maintenance tasks such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. In the winter months, the technician will assist with plowing and salting; overtime may be required. The role may also involve vehicle and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Repair guardrails Cut trees/brush Patch roads Pick litter Ditch Assist with plowing and salting during winter Assist in vehicle and equipment maintenance Eligibility and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of work experience in construction, equipment operation, or related manual labor, or One season operating a snowplow with wings, or six (6) months operating medium or heavy equipment such as graders, excavators, or backhoes, or Upon successful completion of original probation as a Transportation Operations Technician I and possession of a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
