Medical Assistant - CertifiedSeverna Park MD Pay From: $23 per hour MUST:Experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen processing. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.DUTIES:Open the office and laboratory, preparing for the day's patient schedule. Perform venipuncture, specimen processing, vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing, body composition analysis, grip/gait screening, point-of-care laboratory testing, and other clinical assessments. Welcome and room patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion. Answer incoming phone calls with excellent customer service and professionalism. Assist the physician with clinical procedures and general patient care. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls. Coordinate referrals, imaging appointments, prior authorizations, and specialist consultations. Obtain and track laboratory and diagnostic results and coordinate follow-up with the physician. Complete patient registration, insurance verification, membership enrollment, and membership management. Collect co-pays and process payments accurately.
