A forward-thinking educational team has an immediate opening for a per diem Occupational Therapist to offer tailored support to a high school student receiving virtual home-based services. This vital role centers on combining direct occupational therapy interventions and collaborative consultation, coordinating closely with a multidisciplinary virtual team including a Speech-Language Pathologist and Special Education Teacher.

This position uniquely supports a student who is blind, so experience working with students who have visual impairments is highly valued. You'll play a collaborative part in developing and implementing individualized strategies and accommodations, making a significant impact on the student's daily learning and growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist license (licensure verification required)
• Previous school-based OT experience preferred
• Skilled in supporting students with a range of disabilities in educational environments
• Proven ability to collaborate with SLPs, special education teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience providing virtual consultation or remote OT services
• Special consideration for experience with students who are blind or visually impaired
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a blend of direct OT services and consultative support—approximately 3 hours per month
• Adopt flexible scheduling, aligning sessions with the student’s existing virtual services to maximize continuity and support
• Collaborate regularly with the student’s virtual support team
• Document all services and communications in accordance with district requirements
• Uphold all credentialing and professional licensure standards
