Experience a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact as a contract Occupational Therapist providing specialized virtual services for a student receiving home-based support. This flexible, per diem position involves an estimated three hours per month and focuses on delivering both direct occupational therapy interventions and consultative guidance within a virtual educational environment.

You will play a pivotal role in enhancing student outcomes by collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary virtual team, including Speech-Language Pathologists and Special Education Teachers. The ideal candidate brings expertise in supporting students with disabilities, particularly those who are blind or visually impaired, and excels at adapting interventions to the unique needs of each learner.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist license (verification required)
• Demonstrated school-based OT experience (preferred)
• Background supporting students with disabilities in educational settings
• Familiarity collaborating with SLPs, special education teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Previous experience with virtual service delivery and remote consultation
• Specialized experience with students who are blind or visually impaired highly valued
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy and consultation services via virtual platforms
• Adapt strategies to effectively support a student with visual impairments
• Coordinate flexible session times around the student’s virtual SLP and special education schedules
• Thoroughly document interventions and collaborate with the team to update plans as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to district credentialing, licensure, and background check requirements
• Communicate schedule changes promptly and work reliably in a remote setting
