Speech Language Pathologist

In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, cognitive, swallowing, and voice disorders across the continuum of care. Working collaboratively with physicians, residents, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care that promotes optimal functional outcomes and enhances quality of life.

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents with communication, cognitive, swallowing, and voice disorders while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, supports positive clinical outcomes, and contributes to a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for residents and their families.

How you will make an impact:

• Provide speech, language, swallowing, cognition, and voice therapy screenings, evaluations, treatments, and education across the continuum of care.

• Develop, implement, monitor, and modify individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and physician orders.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and billing in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, payer, ASHA, and company standards.

• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff to support therapeutic goals and positive outcomes.

• Deliver holistic care that supports residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, and clinical well-being.

• Promote resident independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life through personalized care plans.

What you will need:

• Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license

• Current CPR certification

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with older adults preferred

• Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and resident-centered care
