Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist duties include providing support to our Digital, Creative, and Marketing Operations teams, among other tasks. The person in this role should be organized and able to keep a variety of tasks and fast-moving projects in line, meet deadlines and ensure that a high-quality product is delivered on time and accurately, while supporting an overarching goal to drive traffic and occupancy to achieve optimum leasing and financial performance for MG Properties Group. This position is a full-time in-person role, based in San Diego, CA. Essential Responsibilities Administer tasks and tickets in Asana or other related marketing project management software, including assigning tickets, creating new project templates, and updating templates as needed. Create slideshows for apartment communities by using Canva. Assist with editing/proofing all marketing collateral, websites, signage, social media, etc. Support the Marketing team with a variety of tasks, including updates, file management, and various other administrative responsibilities as needed. Provide additional backup and assistance when team members are traveling or out of the office. Support the Digital Content Manager to collect content, monitor and analyze social (corporate and properties) and website metrics, and make improvements accordingly. This includes posting time-sensitive property concessions in a timely manner. Perform audits and testing of Internet Listing Services and property websites. Assist with updating, proofing and producing content for all social media sites including Facebook, LinkedIn, and SharePoint. Maintain various image and content libraries on both the marketing, property SharePoint, and Rent Café sites. Collaborate with the marketing team to identify marketing photography for websites and load into Rent Café upon receiving approval from Graphic Design & Brand Manager. Administer set-up of website photography, community amenities and neighborhood map. Schedule photoshoots by coordinating with Community Managers and vendors. Partner with Software and Operations Systems to identify, organize, and label floorplans during acquisitions. Diligently work with external marketing professionals to secure all marketing assets during acquisitions to ensure a smooth asset transition. Work directly with various marketing vendors to procure quotes as well as submit final creative, update information and request or submit contracts or service changes. Administer library of stock photography. Assist with marketing meetings, events, and projects as needed. Assist with assembling and maintaining department tracking and reporting as assigned. Write customized review responses within 2 business days on reputation management software. Collaborate with the customer care team to address negative reviews effectively as needed. Process virtual staging requests by selecting photography, loading to vendor sites and submitting details to ensure optimal results. Administer the video tours library, process payments, be the vendor’s contact person, and lead communications related to this initiative. Lead Craigslist’s ads software administration. Process reports every week and support internal stakeholders with any questions or issues related to this, including training, troubleshooting, and invoice questions. Administer purchases by responsibly using a company credit card to process an extensive amount of invoices for photography, virtual staging, event supplies, marketing collateral, and swag, amongst other things Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Advertising, or Marketing preferred 2-3 years of experience in Marketing or a related field required Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required Proficiency with Yardi's Rent Cafe portal preferred 2-3 years of experience with CMS (content management system) 2-3 years of experience with Canva preferred Experience with Asana required 2-3 years of social media experience preferred 2-3 years of multifamily marketing experience preferred Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly Excellent customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to proofread content Highly collaborative, positive, organized, efficient, and able to manage a fast-paced workflow while meeting deadlines All tools experience preferred Compensation and Benefits $31-$36/hour DOE Company profit sharing Accrues 10 days Paid time off per year 10 Paid Holidays and 2 Paid Personal Days per year 40 Hours of Paid Sick Time 401K with employer match Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Program Life Insurance Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Spending Account California pay range $31—$36 USD MG Properties is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
