Primary Function The 1st Shift Machine Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing of water heater components per department standards. This position serves in the overall function and operation of the heating, plating, and burner department. The operator will cross‑train on operations in each department and follow quality and safety standards. Operator will use measurement tools, work instructions, and production schedule to meet daily production needs and customer requirements along with monitoring performance to optimize production processes. We Offer Regularly Scheduled Hours: 1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) Monday – Friday, OT as needed Pay: $20.29 /hour Sign On Bonus Opportunity: $1,500 ($500 at 90th day, $500 at 180th day, $500 at 365th day of hire) Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments Benefits: Work in a climate‑controlled facility. Responsibilities Perform quality checks for any leakage and ensure resistance, automated welds and angle cuts meet product specifications. Measure product quantities using instruments including calipers, scales, micrometers, angle finders, and resistance checker. Monitor the performance of equipment, gauges, and charts in the department area. Follow work instructions when performing machine changeovers as necessary. Move and pull finished goods to appropriate designated areas using a pallet jack. Perform general housekeeping to keep the work area clean and organized. Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment. Assist and train new team members on the operation process and equipment usage. Qualifications GED or High School Diploma. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications. Basic computer skills for accessing SAP and locating blueprints. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required. Physical Demands Must have physical stamina to work in an industrial production setting with repetitive movement for the entire scheduled shift (8‑12 hours). Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, standing, pushing, pulling, and reaching for extended periods. Must be able to perform visual inspections and listen to equipment for malfunctions/changes in pitch that can indicate a problem. Continuous periods of walking, sitting, and standing. Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 50 lbs unassisted, and perform associated physical tasks. Education High School Diploma or GED. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance.
