The Truck Router / Dispatcher is responsible for planning and optimizing daily delivery routes, assigning drivers, monitoring shipment progress, and responding to scheduling changes throughout the day. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can multitask, communicate effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. salary: $22 - $27 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 11 AM - 7 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and optimize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and on-time performance.
• Dispatch drivers and communicate route assignments, schedule updates, and delivery instructions.
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day and adjust routes as needed to accommodate traffic, customer requests, or operational changes.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with customers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery logs, and transportation documentation.
• Communicate with drivers regarding delays, equipment issues, and service concerns.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Resolve delivery issues and provide timely updates to customers and management.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to transportation operations.
• Support the transportation team with additional duties as assigned.

Skills

• Dispatching (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Routing (2 years of experience is preferred)
• DOT
