• Pay Rate: $61.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 18:45-07:15, 3x12 hours; every other weekend coverage

Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Registered Nurse position on an inpatient MS/Tele unit specializing in stroke and TIA patients, as well as higher-acuity med-surg patients. The unit is highly focused on patient experience and supports specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a stroke/TIA and higher-acuity med-surg unit
• Float to other units based on need and skill set as required
• Manage and care for patients with diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Perform and support specialized unit procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:6 on nights
• Uphold the unit's strong focus on patient experience

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• No first-time travelers - prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float to other units based on need and skill set

Education Requirements

• Active Tennessee (TN) RN license required
• ACLS - required
• BLS - required
• NIHSS - required
• Flu vaccination required; no exemptions

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant nursing setting
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position (18:45-07:15, 3x12 hours)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
• Staffing ratio: 1:6 (nights)
• Patient age group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
