Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

The Float RN provides versatile nursing care across multiple units, including the medical care unit, post-surgical unit, and intermediate care unit. The role involves applying nursing skills, teaching patients, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Apply the nursing process to patient care in various clinical settings.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical records.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Respond effectively to patient emergencies and crises.
  
  
• 
  Adapt and prioritize care based on fluctuating patient and unit needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess recent hospital experience within the past five years.
  
  
• 
  Have at least two years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold or be willing to obtain Oregon nursing licensure.
  
  
• 
  Be certified in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate flexibility, effective teaching skills, and strong communication.
