Exciting Oncology Nurse Opportunity

Job Description:
- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers accepted
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Certifications Required:
- BLS Required
- OCN Required

- Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care for patients with various Oncology diagnoses
- Manage Hematology diagnoses and provide end-of-life care (DNR/CC)
- Handle oncologic emergencies and complex treatments
- Administer chemotherapy, morphine drips, dilaudid drips, and PCA pumps
- Follow strict chemo precautions and ensure patient safety

- Work Environment:
- Ratio: 1:6 with 19 beds and an average daily census of 15
- Charting System: Epic (Required)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Support from interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, Physical Therapy, and Social Services

- Scheduling & Time Off:
- MAX 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
- Every other weekend commitment
- Flexibility to float within the facility
- No on-call requirements

- Compliance:
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Orientation includes 24 hours of training

- Special Equipment Utilization:
- Experience with accessing and managing ports and handling body fluids post-chemotherapy

- Preferred Skills:
- Charge experience, outpatient oncology, and prior travel experience
