Parts Department Counterperson

The Parts Department Counterperson assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions. This person is responsible for receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining safe and secure environment. The parts counterperson also handles phone, electronic (email or other source) and face to face interaction with retail, wholesale customers as well as fellow employees. This position also involves local delivers and pick up of parts and equipment for the dealership while ensuring the delivery truck is in clean, safe, operable condition.

Essential functions include meeting and assisting technicians, retail guests, phone sales, and fellow employees in a friendly, courteous manner; accurately pricing parts and accessories; answering telephone calls promptly; checking in and stocking incoming inventory; creating and maintaining merchandising displays; receiving returned items; updating job knowledge; assisting Parts Manager in processing stock orders; processing buyback and core returns; providing necessary information to the Warranty Department; matching purchase orders and invoices; assisting in preparing for annual parts inventory; delivering and picking up parts; keeping parts department clean, safe, and presentable; working with Parts Manager to identify potential clients; performing all duties as assigned by management; demonstrating behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values; adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards; and performing other duties as assigned.

Physical demands include ability to withstand prolonged periods of computer usage and/or data entry; standing, walking, and/or sitting for prolonged periods; working in various working conditions both indoors and outdoors; kneeling, bending, and/or reaching above the shoulders; moving throughout the parts shelves all-day; lifting up to seventy-five pounds; and climbing at least two flights of stairs.
