In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced RF broadcast antenna systems for our next-generation vehicles.**What You’ll Do:*** Lead the design and development of RF broadcast antenna systems, including antenna element selection, array design, and impedance matching.* Perform detailed simulations and analyses to optimize antenna performance for various broadcast standards (e.g., AM/FM, DAB, DVB-T).* Integrate antenna systems into vehicle architectures, considering packaging constraints, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and manufacturing feasibility.* Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for antenna systems, including anechoic chamber testing, on-vehicle testing, and field trials.* Analyze test data, identify root causes of performance issues, and propose corrective actions.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launch.* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in RF and antenna design.* Document design specifications, test procedures, and validation reports.**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)*** BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.* 5+ years of experience in RF antenna design, development, and integration.* Demonstrated ability in validation methodologies and test execution for RF systems.* Strong adaptability to new technologies, evolving requirements, and dynamic project environments.* Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., CST Studio Suite, HFSS).* Experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, anechoic chambers).* Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.Proficiency in control system theory, state estimation, and physics-based or data-driven model-based control and estimation methodologies.* Proactive mindset with a high level of initiative, accountability, and results-driven approach.* Valid driver’s license may be required based on specific roles.**What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)*** MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.* 8+ years of experience in RF antenna design, development, and integration.* Hands-on experience with RF Antenna design and development, integration and tuning.**Benefits:*** GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
