GAO Orders Program Manager

Summary

This position is located in the Government Accountability Office Chief Administrative Office. As GAOs Orders Program Manager you will be responsible for directing GAOs Orders Program overseeing the development review and implementation of agency-wide orders policies and guidance advising senior executives managing programs and projects and evaluating and communicating on the efficiency and effectiveness of relevant GAO policies programs and operations.

Duties

As aGAO Orders Program Manager PT 03434 your typical work assignments may include the following:

• Directs the GAO Orders Program overseeing the comprehensive development review and implementation of GAO Orders and other guidance documents that establish agency-wide policies and procedures for GAO operations ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Provides direction to GAOs senior executives responsible for managing the components of GAOs administrative infrastructure to ensure GAO Orders comport interdependently across functional areas.
• Manages multiple projects concurrently ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Serves as the authoritative source on interpretation and implementation of GAO Orders in consultation with subject matter experts both internally and externally.

• Conducts thorough analyses of existing GAO policies programs and operation to assess their effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the BAND IV level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band level PT-III CS-III PE-IIB equivalent to the Band III level or GS-14 level in the federal service which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is defined as experience leading enterprise policy or governance programs developing agency-wide policies interpreting laws and regulations and advising senior leadership leading cross-functional initiatives and improving organizational effectiveness through policy analysis and program management.
