About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Emergency Management and Public Safety to provide comprehensive leadership and oversight for its safety and security efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Department of Public Safety, including the development and evaluation of safety and security programs, policies, and protocols. This role involves serving as the institutional leader for emergency preparedness, operations, response, recovery, and mitigation, and ensuring that all practices are aligned with the company's mission. The Executive Director will also be tasked with maintaining positive relationships with local, regional, and state law enforcement and emergency response officials, as well as with the campus community. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, with a master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role within public safety, emergency management, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current security technologies, experience in emergency planning, and a proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and personnel. Professional certifications in emergency management or related areas are a plus. The role requires a leader who is collaborative, innovative, and committed to staff development, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community. The Executive Director will also be expected to integrate the company's values into the department's operations and culture.
