Accounting Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: South Charlotte, NC Schedule: 24 Hours Per Week | MondayThursday | Flexible Scheduling Pay Rate: $28.00 per Hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to join our manufacturing team in South Charlotte. This part-time role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and general administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience working with accounting systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections follow-up.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Enter and verify accounting data in ERP/accounting software.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and financial reporting.
• Support inventory and manufacturing-related accounting transactions.
• Review expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable/receivable experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexible scheduling available (hours can be arranged during standard business hours)
• $28.00 per hour
