Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of our Hotel Portfolio Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to management. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, including collections and credit control. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts. Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis to identify and resolve discrepancies. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues. Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision-making. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Other Duties: Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed. Stay updated on accounting principles and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 0 - 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the team member.
