Machine Operator - Panning

We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our team. We have one opening for the 2nd Shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and two openings for the 3rd Shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday. This is a hands-on position that requires consistent lifting of boxes or bags.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines on production lines, working with bags on Lines 1 and 2, and boxes on Lines 3 and 4.
• Monitor conveyor systems, ensuring boxes and bags are filled to the correct weight specifications and adjust as necessary.
• Lift and move filled boxes through a taping machine and assemble pallets with products.
• Use an automatic sewing machine to close bags, handling the equipment with care.
• Complete various data sheets, including the metal detection sheet and the scale sheet, ensuring accuracy for auditing purposes.
• Assist Quality Control and Quality Assurance by collecting samples.
• Perform general labor tasks, including packaging, sanitation, and using an electric pallet jack.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write to complete production sheets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation and production.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control processes.

Work Environment

The production facility offers a pleasant work environment with rooms that vary in temperature. The Depo Room is at room temperature, the Panning Room is slightly cool, and the Refining Room can become warm, especially in summer. The facility is clean, well-organized, and includes a comfortable break room with indoor and outdoor areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
