Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for operating a batch powder coating system, which includes parts preparation, operating electrostatic spray coating guns, managing the curing oven, and organizing completed parts. This role involves ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the powder coating process.

Responsibilities

• Operate batch powder coating system including parts preparation, racking, and cleaning.

• Utilize electrostatic spray coating guns and manage the booth operations.

• Monitor and operate the curing oven effectively.

• Conduct wash down booth operations and manage consumables.

• Unrack, organize, and document parts production.

• Utilize a computer for communication and documenting job status.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in powder coating.

• Comprehensive understanding of the powder coating process and equipment.

• Ability to pass a respiratory medical exam.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Ability to use a computer effectively.

• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Available Shifts:

• Monday - Friday, morning shift and night shift available; 7am-5pm OR 5:30pm-3:30am

• 50-hour standard work week, with 5-10 additional hours of overtime available weekly.

• All hours over 40 are paid at time and a half.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
