DSD Receiving Clerk FT

Job Title

To ensure product being delivered by vendors is properly received, priced and accounted for.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the DSD vendor activities to assure proper and accurate receiving of product.

1. Maintain a daily DSD receiving and discrepancy log.

1. Update the system files as needed.

1. Ensure that a back-up receiving clerk is always trained and available.

1. Report any discrepancies or pricing problems immediately to a supervisor and to the Pricing Department at the Lowes Foods Corporate Office.

1. Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.

1. Handle all damaged merchandise according to Damage Reclaim procedures.

1. Follow all security and shrink procedures.

1. Perform as a stocker.

1. Perform as a cashier.

1. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Friendly, outgoing personality.

1. Ability to work well with others.

1. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

1. Ability to read and understand information and direction.

1. Knowledge of bakery operations.

1. Ability to supervise people including training and development.

1. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

1. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.

1. Must be at least 18 years old.

1. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

1. Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.

1. Ability to work well with computers.
