Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure services organization supporting critical water and wastewater treatment operations. The team is looking for a mechanically inclined individual to support maintenance and reliability of wastewater treatment facilities and related equipment.

The Mechanic-in-Training will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment plant equipment, pumps, engines, motors, generators, HVAC systems, vehicles, and pump stations . Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting, lubrication, filter replacement, equipment testing, maintenance documentation, and work-order management using Maintenance Connection CMMS . This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical/electrical aptitude, trade school exposure, or hands-on experience with industrial equipment.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school education in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of construction, repair, operation, and maintenance of engines, pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors preferred.
• Ability to enter and maintain maintenance information in a CMMS/Maintenance Connection system.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and safely around machinery, electrical equipment, high-pressure systems, chemicals, fumes, confined spaces, and other industrial hazards.
• Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule .
